About Us

Cannon Lane started as a church for the rapidly developing community around Cannon Lane in 1956.  We have always had a strong community focus from the days of the original church in the old Downs Farmhouse to our current premises, which are still developing today.

Mission Statement

Cannon Lane Methodist Church exists:

  • To celebrate God’s love through worship and increase awareness of God’s presence
  • To help people to grow and learn as Christians through mutual support, teaching, sharing and praying
  • To proclaim the good news of the gospel of Christ through serving others, nurturing new believers and reaching out to our community
  • To be a good neighbour to people in need and to challenge injustice where it exists
  • To protect the balance of God’s creation by seeking to sustain and renew the life of the earth
     

Meet our minister, Rev’d Lynita Conradie

Lynita spent 5 years in Nottingham before coming to Pinner in September 2018 where she is minister of Pinner, Eastcote and Cannon Lane Methodist Churches.
She moved to Britain from Namibia in 2013.  While in Namibia, Lynita  worked as a human rights lawyer and part-time Methodist minister. People are her priority and she enjoys interacting with people formally and informally. Lynita wants to empower people to hear the  Bible in a way which speaks to 21st century situations. Justice is very important to her.

carWe have approximately 24 parking spaces at the front of the church including 2 disabled parking bays.  Parking is also possible in the local roads on a Sunday.  Please be considerate to our neighbours when parking locally.

LU-signThe nearest train station is Rayners Lane which is served by both the Metropolitan Line (Uxbridge branch) and the Piccadilly Line. Rayners Lane is approximately a 12 minute walk from the church

red_london_busCannon Lane is on the H12 bus route and there is a stop just before the church if you are heading from Pinner towards the Rayner’s Lane end of Cannon Lane. In addition the 398 runs along Village Way/Eastern Avenue a few minutes walk from the church.
